Ziele The goal of the course is to get acquainted with the key aspects connected with the subject of family business. The main emphasis is on: characteristics of the business, people, systems and growing complexity among family entreprises, family versus individual entrepreneurship, building a coherent strategy, preparing a plan B for unexpected situations and how to manage the process of succession.

2. People, systems and growing complexity:

3. Family entrepreneurship:

• behaviours indicating entrepreneurial behaviours
• the individual in a family
• the two ideas: the family – individual nexus/ the individual – family firm nexus

4. The family and the business – how to build a coherent strategy?
• vision and values
• strategic planning

5. Plan B for Family Business:
• non-family managers
• non-executive directors
• professional advisors and consultants

6. Managing succession: the leadership challenge:
